The 2017 O’More College of Design Fashion Show took place Friday May 12, 2017 on O’More’s campus. The show highlighted how talented design students are, and the alumni and faculty transformed the world with the power of design.

Every year, O’More’s Fashion Graduates bring in something fresh and interestingly unique ideas in the industry. Reason being, that their show are sought for by many in the industry.

Partners included Eastman Chemical Company, GiGi’s Playhouse and OnPoint Manufacturing had put forth challenges where students had collaborated on projects and showcased their innovations at the Fashion Show.

The student designers’ collaborative work with GiGi’s Playhouse in particular, were designs for children with Down syndrome and other form of special needs.

O’More also honored four alumnae who had made an impact in the industry. Original works were revealed on the runway from Jamie + the Jones, Ona Rex, and Owlette. In addition, full-time faculty member Kevin Crouch showed how couture techniques from years past are as important to us now and into the future.

Collections from the graduating senior design students had round out the evening.

The Annual Fashion Show does not only showcase the graduating students’ talents but is as well, a show for cause. The net revenue from the event will go to the fashion scholarships to support future fashion talents. Thus, these students can attend O’More regardless of their ability to pay.
