The International
Academy of Design and Technology (IADT-Seattle) annually hosts a student
fashion show that features talented designer graduates and showcasing their own
work and collections.
The last runway
show they had was a total blast, it started with a huge bang, especially when
the host of the came out, she was the definition of energy and really over the
top with heel and that entire fun-sexy look, everyone was on their feet.
The opening act
was real stand out, the entire room lit up, everyone giggled and laughed, it
was not like any typical runway but it was a “show” first and the foremost.
The show
featured thirty (30) of the most talented and creative student designers of the International Academy of Design.
With the help and guidance of their mentors, they each have to work on and
design on various categories which was presented on the show.
They have to
create evening gown and evening wears – formal to casual, cocktail dresses,
every day wear, women’s and men’s wear, avant-garde and hot couture and even
costumes – something like on video games; Mortal Combat or Tekken and all that
games.
The show also
featured and showcased the creative work of IADT students on digital media
production and graphic design; these undeniably talented students were
responsible for the overall theme and ambiance of the whole show.
It really only
goes to show that even if Seattle is not as huge as New York and London, they
give out and introduced a lot really talented and creative designers who
contributed so much in the world of fashion.
Another great
thing about the International Academy of Design is that they not only provide
the best training and experience for their students but open avenues and
opportunities for them to start and professional opportunities towards career
success and take turn in doing IADT proud.
